The BEST! This is really what I came for and it could not have been done better. Greg is so good at what he does and he knows how to pace the information, give time for hands on practice and when to challenge and push you to take the next step to move forward. His down to earth, calm and in depth knowledge is amazing. As a teacher I can totally appreciate his innate ability to share his knowledge with his students in the most kind and considerate ways.
It was a small, yet incredibly powerful group. Due to Covid19, We kept the class to a minimum. We feel so happy to have had these Amazing people to share the day with. Thank you all.
I thoroughly enjoyed my day at The Basic Land Navigation class. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Greg is very knowledgeable in map & compass but more importantly, he is able to teach. I spent 17 years of my military career in training. I've met experts in their field who couldn't effectively convey information. I've met many dynamic speakers who could talk for an entire class without saying anything. But Greg is one of those enthusiastic and engaging instructors who draws the audience into the presentation and captures your interest. I learned a lot more from him than I was expecting. Thank you!
Greg was just amazing. It has been a long time since I have had an instructor as passionate and capable as that man. He is a gem for the organization. Watching and listening to him work with my son Gabe was heart warming for me. He did not talk down to him (which happens often with people not used to working with kids) but treated him like a young adult. Thank you.
Summer Camp was cancelled due to the Corona Virus. So, Gabe decided that learning with Maine's Outdoor Learning with his Dad would be a fun summer project.
